Thanks to the changing pattern of use on a forum I maintain during the COVID-19 crisis it has emerged that:
When using the "Reply to Author" facility on a forum post the quote of the post is not processed by Nabble before being sent and remains as plain text, complete with its Nabble style quote tags!
Volunteer Helper - but recommending that users move off the platform!
